This is one of the oldest art museums in the world. Its collection, the

an additional local shop I support
St. Johanns-Vorstadt 38
MATRIX is a studio for textile and surface design, screen-printing on fabrics, garments, and home accessories, as well as surface design for architecture. The products are characterized by their geometrical designs, a very broad range of colours, quality fabrics and unexpected details. All collections are produced by hand in their own screen-printing workshop and in collaboration with other craftsman companies around Basel.

BAR at HOTEL NOMAD
This long bar with lounge and an outdoor summer area is a Basel post-work favourite.
RESTAURANT ROSTIGER ANKER
Small restaurant located directly at the Rhine habour in Kleinhüningen. While enjoying your meal you can watch the big Rhine ships pass by on their way to Rotterdam. Open from March until December only.
At this bakery you'll find the best bread in town. It's also another really nice spot for a coffee and a croissant.
St. Johanns-Vorstadt 33
Small fashion boutique with an exquisite selection of brands.
And... there are lots of little concept stores and boutiques along Feldbergstrasse, Klybeckstrasse and St. Johanns-Vorstadt.
