Born 1977 in Waterloo/Belgium. After graduating from the Victor Horta Institute of Architecture in Brussels, he studied leatherwork at Les Arts et Métiers de Bruxelles under a master craftsman from the Maison Delvaux.
Living in Brussels downtown, he loves jogging to discover hidden architecture details. But his most favorite pastime is exploring the surrounding flea-markets to dig out the perfect object.

MICHAEL GUERISSE O'LEARY, Brussels
In Michael Guérisse O’Leary's designs one can see architectural influence subtly expressed through geometric and sculptured forms.
As a tribute to his grandfather, he decided to name his brand after him. Albert Guérisse was a member of the Belgian resistance during the Second World War. After Belgium was forced to surrender, he escaped to Great Britain to continue the fight under the cover name of "Pat O’Leary".
In 2015, Michael opened a boutique-atelier named Ernest together with designer Aurore Havenne. Here they establish direct contact with their customers. The shop is a warm place, ideal for exchanging and telling the story of the objects they create and select.
