music producer, engineer, and songwriter

Scott Hardin, Memphis

My name is Scott Hardin, and I am a music producer, engineer, and songwriter born, raised, and based in Memphis, TN. I have worked with such artists as Kellz and the Truth Experiment, 2018 Top 6 Voice contestant Reagan Strange, Brennan Villines, Grace Askew, Thataboy, among many others. I fell into producing mostly vocal pop and alternative artists over the past few years, and I collaborate heavily with Justin Timberlake guitarist and collaborator Elliott Ives writing for and developing up-and-coming singers. Other than music, I love working on our family Land Rovers which I have turned into a favourite hobby and ongoing mission. I love Memphis and the soul that lives in the dirt here, and I find it an engaging place to create art.

Ali Sperry, singer-songwriter and yoga instructor in Nashville

My studio is located in a recording complex called Young Avenue Sound which is situated in the burgeoning Cooper-Young neighbourhood of Midtown Memphis. My team and I specialize in creating a sound that can build on what an artist has done artistically in their past, but establishes a fresh, unique vibe for the project at hand. This involves songwriting, arrangement, trying things that do not work, trying things that do work, some occasional crying, and hopefully lots of capturing the essence of an idea in a provoking way. In the end, the goal becomes creating a connection for the listener to the vocal performance. This is not really definable, but it is perceivable when done right.
